Fat Cat

One of our dogs killed one of our kittens last night. A few months ago, one of the stray cats in our neighborhood had kittens in our garage. Daily temperatures this August remained well above 100 degrees consecutively, so, we decided to bring the kittens inside until things cooled off. We kept them locked in … Continue reading Fat Cat

Discarded trends, discounted bins, a world undecided, persuasive, unstable, echoing voices mimic each other, radio waves conform, a standard chorus, the cooling … Continue reading The Furnace

The Green Regime (Tree-Huggers Unite)

I used to be an environmentalist. Back in those days, the decade that was the ‘90s, we concerned ourselves with deforestation, polluting the oceans and recycling our trash. We warned against poisonous chemicals in our food and water. We detested the oil companies and global warming was still refuted by most scientists. In my college … Continue reading The Green Regime (Tree-Huggers Unite)
